One of the biggest decisions you need to make is the venue.
Is it big enough? Does it fit our theme? Will it look nice in pictures?
The truth is, Ottawa has so many wedding venues to choose from including, parks, farms, hotels, churches and so much more. We narrowed it down to some of our favourite locations in and around the city to hopefully help make your decision a little easier.
Ottawa Art Gallery
When it comes to stunning and central venues here in the Nation’s Capital, the Ottawa Art Gallery is tough to beat. World-renowned architect Frank Ghery’s design prestige is apparent in all facets of this beautiful venue. As one of North America’s most distinguished galleries, the downtown location makes it a perfect place for special events such as weddings.
Horticulture Building

The Horticulture Building located in Lansdowne is one of our favourite wedding venues. Having catered for many weddings there before we have nothing but good things to say about this beautiful location. Whether you’re looking for an industrial feel or rustic atmosphere you’ll have it all at the Horticulture Building, with high ceilings, exposed beams, and beautiful windows providing plenty of natural light for your big day.
Adelina
Have you always dreamed of having your wedding in a beautiful fairy tale forest? If so, Adelina is the perfect location for you. Located just 20 minutes outside of Ottawa in Gatineau, this wonderful venue can host up to 120 guests between mid-May and mid-October. Celebrations can be inside or outside, casual, formal, anything you want! They also offer fun features such as a fire pit area and wildflower garden, all guaranteed to give you the most amazing memories and not to mention pictures.
Rockport Barn
Another venue we have had the pleasure of catering at is Rockport Barn located in Rockport in the heart of the Thousand Islands. The 100 year old barn located on the grounds of Seaman House, which was built in 1857, is the perfect picturesque location. They have an amazing rental period of three days meaning you can make the most out of your wedding weekend. Rockport Barn’s flexibility, exclusivity and beautiful landscapes including a waterfall, and amazing gardens, is the perfect venue if you are looking to have an incredible wedding weekend.
Le Vignoble de Chelsea
The beautiful venue that is Le Vignoble de Chelsea brings together two wonderful things in life; vineyards and sugar shacks. This unique venue is located in Chelsea around 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa. Equipped with a reception facility with room for 120 guests and incredible scenery your special day is bound to go off without a hitch. Enjoy the exclusivity of the grounds and firepit to indulge in some late night marshmallows to make memories to last a lifetime.
Mackenzie King Estate

Former home to the longest serving prime minister Mackenzie King Estate is full of rich history and breathtakingly beautiful grounds and ruins. This venue is for all the history buffs out there. Whether you want your wedding to be in the gardens, historical ruins, or just in nature, there is something for every couple at this location.
Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm
Family owned since 1993 Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm is located just south of downtown Ottawa. They have a variety of beautiful sites for your ceremony. To help make your wedding come to life you can choose from spots like the Stone Steps, their most popular site surrounded by incredible maple trees and flower beds, The Gazebo, a classy atmosphere for your ceremony, The Maple Grove, surrounded by tall sugar maples, especially beautiful in the Fall and early Spring. They can accommodate any wedding size up to 350 guests in one of their three beautiful reception spaces. Your wedding at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm is sure to be charming and memorable.
Orange Barn Events
Orange Barn Events is the perfect venue for couples looking to completely customize their wedding. The unique orange barn is 60x40 sqft of empty space allowing you to completely design your ceremony and reception the way you’ve always dreamed it to be. Outdoor spaces can have up to 100 guests and indoor up to 24. This is the perfect venue if you’re looking to have a beautiful and tranquil wedding environment perfectly customized to you.
Allsaints
This incredibly beautiful church, said to be reinvented as an urban space, is located right in downtown Ottawa. If you are looking for the traditional atmosphere of a church but something more modern for your reception this is the perfect venue. With beautiful spaces covered in exposed brick and wood beams, creating a gorgeous atmosphere, you are guaranteed to have a magical celebration.
Cumberland Belle
This church built in 1867 just east of Ottawa was completely reinvented just last year. Maintaining the original charm of the church on the outside while being sleek and modern on the inside, this unique venue will make your wedding stand out. The space is a blank slate allowing you to run with your imagination and really make your wedding your own.
